Ella June Garden flowers and plants are grown in a small space which means I frequently have to move or divide over-grown perennials … even when they are much loved. So here I am, once again at the beginning of the growing season with extra plants to share.

All of these plants prefer 6 – 8 hours of direct sunlight. Phlox and Coreopsis can tolerate as few as 4 hours. Echinacea is fairly drought tolerant once it is established into the new garden.

This spring, the offerings include 6 types of flowers. Each and every one of these are tried and true to be excellent landscape plants as well as amazing cut flowers. Trust me, you want them if you are a flower lover like me. (I’m not giving up all of them, only a few of each variety!)

* Moonbeam Coreopsis (shimmers in the garden)
* Glamour Girl Tall Phlox (Bright pink with the most delightful scent)
* Marmalade Double Scoop Echinacea (various tones of orange - grows petals over the cone area)
* Butterfly Kisses Double Scoop Echinacea (pale to raspberry pink that grows petals over the cone area)
* Mandarin Echinacea (a perfect red for any of our summer holidays. I love to add it to bouquets with white larkspur and blue allium for Independence Day!)
* Playful Meadow Echinacea (I love the perfect pink petals touched with white tips and an extra wide cone center. So beautiful at many stages)

The four varieties of specialty echinacea are pretty new to the market and still are uncommon to find at local nurseries in the Treasure Valley
